A joint urgent debate on the political consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and on the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, will be a highlight of the Summer plenary session. There will also be an urgent debate on ensuring free and safe access through the Lachin Corridor, as well as a current affairs debate on recent political developments in Poland. On Wednesday, 21 June 2023, the Assembly will have a joint debate on migrations.

Other topics on the agenda include addressing the specific challenges faced by Belarusians in exile, the reform of human rights legislation in the United Kingdom, as well as transnational repression as a growing threat to the rule of law and human rights. The parliamentarians will discuss the budgets and priorities of the Council of Europe for the period 2024-2027 and the Assembly’s expenditure for the biennium 2024-2025. The participants will be addressed by the President of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar.

On day one of the session, the parliamentarians will be addressed by Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, who responded to delegation member Elvira Kovacs’ question regarding the collective rights of national minorities in Europe by saying that Hungary is "extremely grateful to the Serbian authorities, the President of Serbia, the Government of Serbia for providing the Hungarians in Serbia with such rights that should make it a role model in this regard".

The members of the National Assembly standing delegation taking part in the PACE Summer session are Dubravka Filipovski, Elvira Kovacs and Dunja Simonovic Bratic, as well as deputy members Jelena Milosevic and Slavica Radovanovic.
