Open Day at the Serbian Assembly

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has instituted Open Days. The first of these will be Monday 31 May; Assembly Chairman Predrag Markovic will open the parliament’s door at 11 a.


The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has instituted Open Days. The first of these will be Monday 31 May; Assembly Chairman Predrag Markovic will open the parliament’s door at 11 a.m.

On the first Open Day, the Assembly will be visited by three groups of 10 students from three Belgrade high schools, accompanied by two teachers.

Mr Markovic will meet and talk with the students in the Assembly Hall; visits to deputies’ groups and meetings with their heads are also planned.

A tour of the Assembly building is also planned for the visitors. The media will be able to attend the entire Open Day programme.

Open Day will become standard practice for the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and will be held every last Saturday of every month - the next Open Day is planned for 26 June 2004.
