Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie Organizes Conference of European Region Delegation Heads

MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Head of the standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), took part in the conference of heads of APF delegations from the European region in Bucharest, 20-22 May 2018.

The conference was attended by the heads of the parliamentary delegations of France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Andorra, Greece, Romania, Macedonia, Armenia, Moldova, Poland and the Swiss cantons of Vaud, Valais and Jura.

The topic of the conference was “La Francophonie in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe with a special focus on Romania”. The participants were addressed by Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu, representatives of the International Organization of La Francophonie and representatives of the Romanian executive power. The participants also spoke about the preparations for the APF session for the region of Europe, to be held in Andorra in October.
