Parliamentary Friendship Group with Albania Meets with Albanian Ambassador to Serbia
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Albania, Dragomir J. Karic and Group member Slavica Saveljic met today at the National Assembly House with the Albanian Ambassador to Serbia, Shpëtim Çaushi.
Ambassador Çaushi mentioned the need to maintain dialogue both at the level of friendship groups and at the bilateral level, at the same time highlighting the importance of the economic exchange between Serbia and Albania. He believes that the Albanian Parliament would soon set up a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia and announced an exchange of visits of top state dignitaries.
The participants of the meeting were greeted by National Assembly Speaker Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic who, speaking with Ambassador Çaushi, said that the establishment of and communication between parliamentary friendship groups are the first step toward improving both parliamentary and bilateral relations between the two countries. Stefanovic also underlined the important role Serbia and Albania play in establishing stability in the region.
