The representative of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro, Andreas Accardo, informed the Assembly that the OSCE Mission was ready to provide technical and financial assistance to improve the activities of National Assembly committees as part of its Parliamentary Support Programme. The creation of a “Committee Development Fund” was announced at the session; the Fund will be used by the OSCE Mission to provide assistance in modernising and enhancing the activities of Assembly committees. An invitation for applications will be open until mid-May, resulting in the allocation of assets to the amount of 6,000 Euros to a number of committees which present the best projects. The meeting underlined that committees whose projects are intended to bring committee activities closer to the public would have priority in the allocation of assets.
