Press Statement of the Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Chairman

Press statement of the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Meho Omerovic on International Holocaust Remembrance Day:

“We need to be constantly reminded of the suffering of Jews in World War II as a warning against the modern attempts to rehabilitate fascists and their collaborators and helpers.
Today is the Day to remember the crimes committed by those lead by the idea to eradicate entire nations.
The memory of the death camps which operated in Serbia as well should shake us and remind us of the attempts, even in our country, to show and prove that apparently everybody fought against the biggest evil of the 20th century and rehabilitate those who committed war crimes against their own people. Criminals can never be on the side of anti-fascism!”
