Second Sitting of the Sub-Committee for Status Issues of the Diaspora

The Sub-Committee members consulted on the further activities of the Sub-Committee for Status Issues of the Diaspora.
The Sub-Committee decided to discuss the status issues of Serbs in the diaspora in the upcoming period, with a special focus on Serbs living in the region.
The Sub-Committee also decided to request information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry for Diaspora on the status of the 25 000 Serbs who had lost their citizenship in the
The Sub-Committee members decided to request a report from the Ministry for Diaspora on the manner in which Serbian language is taught in schools in countries where Serbs live in the diaspora.
Sub-Committee Chairman Dr Janko Veselinovic informed the Sub-Committee members that at the next Sub-Committee sitting they would be considering the preliminary text of the Draft Law on the Serbian Emigrant Society.-
