Serbian Delegation at PACE Committee Meetings

The members of the National Assembly standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, headed by Biljana Pantic Pilja, Aleksandar Mirkovic, Elvira Kovacs and Vladimir Djordjevic, took part in the meetings of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Monitoring Committee and the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, in Paris, from 8 to 10 September 2025.

The Monitoring Committee elected a second rapporteur for Serbia, Turkish MP Yunus Emre.

At the committee meetings, the MPs discussed improving the work of the Venice Commission, protecting democracy from artificial intelligence, the latest developments in the Middle East, regulating foreign interference in the internal affairs of states, the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the position of journalists in Russia and Azerbaijan, and the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Georgia, Bulgaria, Poland and Greece.

Rapporteur for Spain Elvira Kovacs presented the work on the report and on that occasion a discussion was held with Sophie Leenders, Senior Legal Advisor at the GRECO Secretariat.
