Session of the Education Committee and the Committee on Trade and Tourism
The Education Committee and the Committee on Trade and Tourism of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held a session to discuss the problem of organising school field trips.

The session was attended by the Minister of Education and Sports, Slobodan Vuksanovic, and his associates, the Minister of Trade and Tourism, Bojan Dimitrijevic, and his associates; director of YUTA travel agency, Radisav Stevanovic; director of Cacak-based transport company Autoprevoz, Dragomir Senic, and director of Belgrade Children’s Holiday Homes Centre, Goran Tasic.
Bogoljub Lazarevic, Assistant to the Minister of Education, informed the session of the drafting of a set of regulations covering school excursions, field trips and extramural courses, undertaken by the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy, the Ministry of Finance, the Association of Travel Agencies, the Serbian Educationalists Society, the Serbian Teachers Society and the Association of Secondary Schools and Vocational Secondary Schools.
After a two-hour discussion of problems in organising school excursions, which raised many issues, and acquainted the deputies with specific steps being undertaken by the appropriate ministries, it was resolved to hold such meetings more frequently.
As there was no decision-making quorum, formal conclusions were not adopted, but consensus was reached with the Ministry of Education to keep deputies informed about activities of working bodies preparing the set of regulations covering school excursions, field trips and extramural courses.
The session was chaired by the chairperson of the Education Committee, Donka Banovic.
