Seventh Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija

At the sitting held on 7 March, the members of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija voted on the Missing Persons Commission’s Activity Report covering the period from 1 January to 31 December 2012, and 2013 Activity Plan, reviewed at the previous sitting. By a majority of votes, the Committee decided to accept the Report.


The Committee went on to review the Office for Kosovo-Metohija 2012 Activity Report, submitted by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija. The Report was outlined by the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Krstimir Pantic. The Committee decided to accept the Office for Kosovo-Metohija 2012 Activity Report, by a majority of votes.
Under item “other business” the Committee adopted the proposal that a financial report covering the same period be appended to the Missing Persons Commission’s Activity Report covering the period from 1 January to 31 December 2012.
The Committee members also adopted the proposal that the Committee be forwarded the text of the Working Group’s adopted Conclusion as regards the agreement on the introduction of customs duties and opening of an account for income earned from the goods intended for the north of Kosovo.
The Committee requested that the Prime Minister submit a written report, all the documents agreed on with the representative of Kosovo Government and to explain the report at a sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija within a fortnight.
They also adopted the proposal that all the funds earmarked for Kosovo-Metohija be centralized and placed in the purview of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, so as to allow insight into the flow and disposal of said funds.

The sitting was chaired by MA Milovan Drecun, Committee Chairman.
