Sixty-Second Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development
At the sitting held on 7 October, the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2011 Budget Law, section 53 – Ministry of Education and Science, function 140, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
The sitting was attended by Assistant Minister of Education and Science Prof. Dr Tibor Sabo and Vera Savatovic-Radojcic, representative of the Ministry of Finance.
The representatives of the submitter stressed that the budget intended for science within the Ministry did not undergo any significant changes compared to the funds allocated in the Republic of Serbia 2011 Budget Law, and the funds intended for science within said position were reallocated.
In the debate, the Committee members and Ministry representatives agreed that the state should secure more funds for science and research stimulation.
The Committee members unanimously adopted the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2011 Budget Law, section 53 – Ministry of Education and Science, function 140.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman Srboljub Zivanovic.
