Solemn Academy on Students’ Day
The National Assembly House hosted a solemn academy to celebrate Students’ Day and on the occasion the Student Conference of Academies for Applied Studies presented National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic with an award as meritorious professor.
“I believe that the Government and the National Assembly have done a great deal to advance education. We will continue to follow that path because it is one of our strategic goals to provide the young people with the best political and economic environment to develop their careers and families in their own country”, said Marinkovic.
The attending were also addressed by Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic who announced a series of amendments to the existing and adoption of new laws aimed at advancing education and student standards, with a special focus on the financing of studies.
Following the address of the representative of the National Council for Higher Education and the President of the Conference of Academies for Applied Studies, the best students and professors were presented with awards.
