Talks with head of European Commission Delegation
The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and acting President of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today held talks with Ambassador Geoffrey Barrett, head of the European Commission Delegation in Serbia and Montenegro, on the current situation and measures taken to calm the violence and tensions in the country.

Assembly Chairman Predrag Markovic expressed deep dissatisfaction and disappointment with the inadequate reaction of certain international institutions in Kosovo and called for them to be put on full alert.
The talks stressed that the calming of the political situation was an immediate priority; other topics included presidential elections, work on the creation of the new constitution, as well as priority legislation, such as economic budget-related legislation, legislation regulating conflicts of interest, as well as that on medicines and medical supplies.
