Third Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee
At the sitting held on 3 July, the Environmental Protection Committee set up a Working Group for the processing of petitions within the Committee’s scope, comprising Committee members Ivana Stojiljkovic, Marija Stevanovic and Boban Birmancevic.
The Committee decided to request information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection on the presence of hazardous substances in Serbia’s environment.
The sitting focused on the environmental problems of Zajaca and Kostajnik, with the proposal that the first in the series of planned thematic Committee meetings be dedicated to the problems of Loznica i.e. Banja Koviljaca.
The sitting was attended by Dragan Skrnjic of the Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Serbia who presented the project of eco cars using alternative environmentally friendly energy sources.
Tanja Petrovic and Jelena Micic attended as “Green Chair”.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Branislav Blazic.
