Warm and cordial relations between Serbia and Macedonia

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today met the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Branko Crvenkovski.


The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today met the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Branko Crvenkovski.

The talks stressed the importance of maintaining warm and cordial relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia, especially in view of the fact that there are currently no major unresolved issues between the two countries.

Mr Markovic underlined the importance of intensifying regional co-operation, as well as of speeding up the process of opening dedicated border crossings to assist people living in the border area and commuting across the border daily.

It was announced that Mr Markovic would soon visit the Macedonian capital, Skopje, at the invitation of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia.
