Delegation in the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative
As a Parliamentary dimension of the Central-European Initiative, it represents a parliamentary forum of regional character and it is one of the three pillars of the organization (along with Government and Economic dimensions). Its goal is to strengthen multilateral cooperation at the parliamentary level, the cooperation of members regarding the strengthening of political and economic capacities, establishment of partnership on principles of parliamentary democracy and human rights, and to provide assistance to the reforms in countries of the Central-European Initiative.
Plenary sessions of the Parliamentary Dimension are convened twice a year, in the fall (Parliamentary Assembly) and in spring with fewer attending members (Parliamentary Committee). Meetings of working bodies are held between as well as during these sessions.
Our country has been a full member since 2001.

Latest activities
- National Assembly delegation took part in the 3rd meeting dedicated to the drafting of the Convention for the Strengthening of the Central European Initiative in Rome, 5 July 2024. The delegation comprised Jovan Palalic and Ana Miljanic.
- The members of the standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Central European Initiative Parliamentary Dimension Ana Miljanic and Branimir Jovanovic took part in the CEI Parliamentary Committee, in Tirana, on 30 June and 1 July 2024.
- The National Assembly delegation took part in the second meeting dedicated to the drafting of the Convention for the Strengthening of the Central European Initiative (CEI), on 22 April 2024. The delegation was headed by Marina Ragus, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, with Ana Miljanic, member of the standing delegation to the CEI Parliamentary Dimension.
- MP Jovan Palalic took part in the First Meeting of the Convention for Strengthening Central European Initiative, held in Trieste on 12 February 2024.
