11th Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 28 January 2025, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendments to the International Sugar Agreement, Bill amending the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development and the situation in agriculture.

The Committee members accepted the proposal put forward by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic to complete a joint debate on all three items on the agenda.

The bills were presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Lidija Pavicevic.

Following a debate, the Committee members accepted both bills by majority vote.

The Committee members then considered the situation in agriculture, on which they exchanged opinions with the representatives of the competent ministry. Following the debate, the Committee adopted a Conclusion stating that when by-laws, ordinances and rulebooks are drafted, due diligence should be done to avoid big disputes.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, and attended by the following Subcommittee members and deputy members: Slobodan Ilic, Dr Sanela Strainovic, Veroljub Matic, Ivana Stamatovic, Milija Miletic, Dijana Radovic, Radoslav Milojicic, Jozsef Tobias, Dejan Bulatovic and Zika Gojkovic.
