26th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 29 September 2021, the Culture and Information Committee considered the Bill amending the Law on Museum Activity, submitted by the Government, in principle.

Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic said that the Law on Museum Activity regulates the conditions and manner in which museum-related duties are performed, the structure and organisation of their activity, organisation and scope of work, protection, use and processing of museum material and keeping museum records and other issues of importance for museum activity.

The sitting was attended by Danijela Vanusic, Assistant to the Minister in charge of cultural heritage and digitalisation, who presented the proposed amendments to the Law on Museum Activity.

The Committee unanimously adopted the Bill amending the Law on Museum Activity in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zeljko Tomic, Vuk Mircetic, Rozalia Okresz, Natasa Mihailovic-Vacic, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Snezana Paunovic, Lav-Grigorije Pajkic, Milica Obradovic, Aleksandar Cotric, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Milos Terzic and Nebojsa Bakarec.
