32nd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 2 February 2022, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered, in principle, the Bill on the Election of the President of the Republic, Bill on the Election of Members Parliament, Bill on Local Elections, Bill amending the Law on Prevention of Corruption, Bill amending the Civil Procedure Law and the Bill amending the Law on Salaries of Civil Servants and General Service Employees, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, of 27 December 2021, Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, of 21 January 2022, and the Proposal of the Decision on the election of Deputy Public Prosecutor, submitted by the Prosecutorial Council.

The Bill on the Election of the President of the Republic, Bill on the Election of Members Parliament, Bill on Local Elections and the Bill amending the Law on Salaries of Civil Servants and General Service Employees were presented by State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Maja Macuzic Puzic.

The Bill amending the Law on Prevention of Corruption and the Bill amending the Civil Procedure Law were presented by Vladimir Vins, authorised representative of the Ministry of Justice.

The Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, of 27 December 2021 and the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, of 21 January 2022, were presented by Vukica Kuzic, elective member of the High Judicial Council.

The Proposal of the Decision on the election of Deputy Public Prosecutor was presented by Tanja Vukicevic, member of the Prosecutorial Council

The Committee members unanimously proposed that the National Assembly accept all the proposed bills and decisions.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Velibor Milojicic, Marijan Risticevic, Dejan Kesar, Nebojsa Pavlovic, Nenad Baros, Djordje Dabic, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Nenad Krstic, Dragan M. Markovic, Toma Fila, Dubravka Kralj and Danijela Veljovic.
