Albanian Informal Green Parliamentary Group Talks to Environmental Protection Committee Members

The members of the Environmental Protection Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milica Vojic-Markovic, Gabor Lodi and Munir Poturak, as well as the coordinator of the informal Green parliamentary group Dejan Nikolic, talked to a delegation of the Albanian informal Green parliamentary group.



The members of the Environmental Protection Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milica Vojic-Markovic, Gabor Lodi and Munir Poturak, as well as the coordinator of the informal Green parliamentary group Dejan Nikolic, talked to a delegation of the Albanian informal Green parliamentary group.

The Environmental Protection Committee members briefed the guests on the work of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, pointing out that in 2009 the National Assembly adopted a set of environmental laws, 16 in total, all in full compliance with European legislation. The officials exchanged experiences from their work so far and opinions regarding the improvement of environmental protection.

In the meeting, they also proposed certain projects and potentials for future regional cooperation. These activities, via regional parliamentary cooperation, have been envisaged at the initiative of Bells movement with the common goal of prioritising the Western Balkans environmental issues, with the help of the parliament, and making them the focus of decision-making on all levels.
