Eighth Meeting of National Assembly Economic Caucus
At its eighth meeting, the Economic Caucus discussed the law on social entrepreneurship.
Representative of NALED Neven Marinovic informed the members of the Economic Caucus about the common best practices in the field of social entrepreneurship that different countries base the development of legislation on and the 2009 EP Resolution on social entrepreneurship. He said that social entrepreneurship is currently mentioned only in the Law on Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
In the discussion, the members of the Economic Caucus said that the persons the law refers to need to be clearly defined, as well as what the benefits for entrepreneurs are, what are the interests of the state, persons with employment difficulties and entrepreneurs. The also concluded that it would be useful to exchange experiences with other countries.
The members of the Economic Caucus agreed to send the recommendations of the meeting to the Serbian Union of Employers.
The Head of the Economic Caucus, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic presided over the meeting.
