Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 1 May 2024, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, based on the Decree of the Republic Electoral Commission, adopted the Report on the allocation of an MP’s term of office for the purpose of filling a vacant seat at the National Assembly.

The Report proposes that the National Assembly verify the terms of office of MPs Jelena Bogdanovic and Dusan Radosavljevic, elected from the Electoral List DR MILOS JOVANOVIC – HOPE FOR SERBIA – Serbia Coalition HOPE – National Democratic Alternative – New Democratic Party of Serbia (New DSS) – Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia (POKS) – Vojislav Mihailovic; Stasa Stojanovic, Natasa Ivanovic and Nikola Lazic, elected from the Electoral List ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – Serbia Must Not Stop and Dragan Ninkovic elected from the Electoral List SERBIA AGAINST VIOLENCE – MIROSLAV MIKI ALEKSIC – MARINIKA TEPIC (PARTY OF FREEDOM AND JUSTICE, PEOPLE’S MOVEMENT OF SEBIA, GREEN – LEFT FRONT, DON’T LET BELGRADE D(R)OWN, ECOLOGICAL UPRISING – CUTA, DEMOCRATIC PARTY, MOVEMENT OF FREE CITIZENS, SERBIA CENTRE, TOGETHER, MOVEMENT FOR REVERSAL, UNITED TRADE UNIONS OF SERBIA “SLOGA”, NEW FACE OF SERBIA¬).

The Committee went on to consider the resignations tendered to the post of MP by Dejan Ristic, Dr Zlatibor Loncar, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Tatjana Macura, Dr Petar Petkovic, Arnaud Gouillon, Milan Krkobabic, Ivica Dacic, Novica Toncev, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic and Usame Zukorlic. The Committee ascertained that the situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 2, item 6 of the Law on Election of MPs which lists resignation as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office and proposed that the National Assembly.

Seeing how an MP’s term of office ends on the day they tender their resignation, pursuant to Article 132, paragraph 5 of the Law on Election of MPs, the Committee ruled to propose that the National Assembly note the termination of the term of office of said MPs in line with Article 133 of the same Law.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Goran Milic, Olja Petrovic, Prof. Dr Miloljub Albijanic, Uros Djokic, Marko Milosevic, Stefan Kitanovic, Prim. Doc. Dr Darko Laketic, Stefan Janjic, Branimir Jovanovic, Aleksandar Jugovic, Ivana Nikolic and Djordje Komlenski.
