The deputies of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Serbian Radical Party, New Serbia and Serbian Progressive Party at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, attended the sitting of the Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of Kosovo-Metohija, held in Zvecan, on 17 February 2009, at the anniversary of the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo. The sitting was also attended by the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija, Goran Bogdanovic.

The deputies endorsed the intention of the delegates of the Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of Kosovo-Metohija to adopt a Declaration on the affirmation of the constitutional position of Kosovo-Metohija within the Republic of Serbia and rejection of all unilateral and separatist acts by the interim institutions in Pristina regarding the independence of the Province.
