National Assembly Speaker Meets with Leader of Islamic Community of Serbia
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with the newly-appointed supreme religious leader of the Islamic Community of Serbia Reis-Ul-Ulema Sead Nasufovic and a delegation of the Islamic Community of Serbia.
The National Assembly Speaker said that all the citizens struggle with similar problems and the fight for economic development, employment, better education and healthcare continues.
Nasufovic thanked the Parliament Speaker for receiving the delegation of the Islamic Community of Serbia and for her presence at his enthronement ceremony in Bajrakli Mosque in Belgrade, by which she demonstrated that the National Assembly represents all the citizens.
Nasufovic said that the Islamic Community of Serbia is open to dialogue and cooperation, adding that “we respect the state we live in like we respect our home, like we respect our family”.
The delegation of the Islamic Community of Serbia included Belgrade Mufti Mustafa Jusufspahic.
