Second Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 13 May 2024, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee considered the situation in agriculture, forestry and water management after the first quarter of 2024 with special focus on sowing and animal husbandry.

Following a substantive debate on animal husbandry, agricultural subsidies an incentives, Republic of Serbia 2024 Budget rebalance, close cooperation with the competent ministry, use of IPARD funds, irrigation and improvement of the water supply to villages and towns, arable crops and basic cereal cultures, the Committee adopted four relevant conclusions.

The Committee went on to adopt the Decision on the Establishment of the Subcommittee for the Development and Care for the Breeding of Small Animal Breeds (pigeons, hares, ornamental fowl and other ornamental animals) and the Decision on the Establishment of the Subcommittee for Monitoring the Agricultural Situation in Marginal Areas with Difficult Working Conditions of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, and attended by the following Subcommittee members and deputy members: Radoslav Milojicic, Dijana Radovic, Borislav Antonijevic, Jozsef Tobias, Nenad Milojicic, Milija Miletic, Veroljub Arsic, Dejan Bulatovic, Zoran Sandic, Dragan Jovanovic, Dušan Nikezic, Ivana Stamatovic, Dragan Jonic and Zika Gojkovic. Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dr Aleksandar Martinovic andassociates also took part in the debate.
