Second Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 22 July 2024, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Temporary Regulation of Payment of Fees for the Public Service Media.

The Bill was presented by Milan Dobrivojevic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, as representative of the submitter. Following a debate, the Committee members accepted the Bill in principle, by majority vote.

The Committee went on to consider the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention of Theft, Secret Excavation and Illegal Import and Export of Cultural Goods and the Bill on the confirmation of the Agreement of Financing the Re-Establishment of a Joint Permanent Exhibition in Block 17 of the Auschwitz–Birkenau State Museum, presented to the Committee members by Stanko Blagojevic, Acting Assistant Minister of Culture, as representative of the submitter.

Following a debate, the Committee members accepted the two bills by majority vote as well.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Nevena Djuric and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nebojsa Bakarec, Prof.Dr Marko Atlagic, Tatjana Nikolic, Lepomir Ivkovic, Jadranka Jovanovic, Branimir Jovanovic, Branko Miljus, Ivana Rokvic, Dusan Maric, Dr Jovan Janjic, Dr Zoran Lutovac, Mgr Akos Ujhelyi and Dragana Rasic.
