Second Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

At the sitting held on 11 October 2024, the members of the Environmental Protection Committee considered in principle the Bill on the Confirmation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, Bill on Environmental Impact Assessment, Bill on Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment and the Bill on Control of Major-Accident Hazards Involving Dangerous Substances, submitted by the Government.

On behalf of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the bills were presented by State Secretary Sara Pavkov.

By majority vote, the Committee adopted the bills in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milimir Vujadinovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dragana Arsic, Dijana Radovic, Olivera Denic, Borislav Novakovic, Zoran Stojanovic, Mila Popovic, Dejan Bulatovic, Dobrica Veselinovic, Dr Tatjana Markovic-Topalovic, Nikola Pantelic, Dusan Maric, Marko Mladenovic, Nenad Ristovic and Marjan Risticevic.
