Third Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 24 May 2024, the members of the European Integration Committee considered the Report on the Republic of Serbia’s EU Accession Negotiations during Spain’s presidency (July-December 2024), adopted by the Government at the session held on 29 February 2024.

Minister of European Integration Prof. Dr Tanja Miscevic presented the status breakdown by negotiation cluster in the reporting period. Following a lengthy discussion during which the Committee members exchanged opinions and asked for further information on some of the topics presented in the Report, the Report on the Republic of Serbia’s EU Accession Negotiations during Spain’s presidency (July-December 2024) was adopted by majority vote.

The Minister of European Integration also informed the Committee on the two conclusions on the adoption of the National Programme for Adoption of the Acquis Communautaire (NPAA) for the third and fourth quarter of 2023, adopted by the Government at the sessions held on7 December 2023 and 20 March 2024.

The Committee also selected a delegation to take part in the meeting of the chairpersons of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC), to be held under the auspices of the parliamentary dimension of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, 28-29 July 2024 in Budapest, Hungary, comprising Elvira Kovacs and Milan Radin.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Robert Kozma, Dr Ana Jakovljevic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Dr Tijana Peric Diligenski, Dubravka Filipovski, Dr Ksenija Markovic, Goran Milic, Miroslav Petrasinovic, Sanja Dzajic, Branislav Josifovic, Milan Radin and Nikola Lazic.
