104th session of the Legislative Committee
At its 104th session, held on 14 December, the Legislative Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the Bill on the Distribution of Transfer Assets from the Budget of the Republic of Serbia and the Share of Municipalities, Cities and the City of Belgrade in the Salary Tax for 2006, and six amendments submitted to it, and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Public Debt of the Republic of Serbia Resulting from the Assumption of Obligations of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees for Unpaid Pensions and Compensations, and another six amendments submitted to it; one amendment was rejected.

International conference on “Fighting corruption in Serbia: Implementing regulations and challenges” opens
At the invitation of the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro, Maurizio Massari, and the President of Transparency Serbia NGO, Vladimir Goati, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today opened a two-day international conference on “Fighting corruption in Serbia: Implementing regulations and challenges”, held at Belgrade’s Sava Centre.

Event to mark the 80th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Belgrade
At the invitation of the Archbishop of Belgrade, Stanislav Hocevar, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today attended the final event to mark the eightieth anniversary of the re-establishment of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Belgrade, and a service of blessing of a carving of Mary the Mother of Concord at the Church of the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Belgrade.
