Roundtable on ‘The Role of the Parliament and the of Division of Powers Principle’ opened
As part of the Joint initiative to support parliamentary institutions in Serbia and Montenegro, implemented by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, the Advisor to the Delegation of the European Commission in Belgrade, David Hudson, and the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Head of the CoE’s Belgrade Office, Stefano Valenti, today opened a roundtable on ‘The Role of the Parliament and the Division of Powers Principle’ in Belgrade’s Sava Centre.

Regular three-month Assembly activity report presented
At a regular news conference held to present results of the National Assembly’s activities, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, said that the Assembly had continued its legislative duties by passing 31 laws, of which a number regulated fields hitherto not covered by legislation.
