National Assembly Standing Delegation at 51st PABSEC Plenary Session
The National Assembly standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) headed by MA Igor Becic, and comprising standing member Milija Miletic, took part in the organization’s 51th Plenary Session in Tirana, 19-21 June. Besides the Republic of Serbia, the session was also attended by the parliamentary delegations of Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine.

At the request of 154 MPs, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic convened the Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for Tuesday, 12 June.

50th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues
At the sitting held on 20 June, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Deputy Secretary General on the reprimands issued to MPs Balsa Bozovic and Zoran Zivkovic at the Fifth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018, MP Srbislav Filipovic at the 15th Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature, and MP Srdjan Nogo at the Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature and decided to fine the MPs 10% of an MP’s base salary – 7,171.26 RSD.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marinkovic Meets Again with Representatives of Oil Refinery Pancevo Trade Union
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic met today at the National Assembly with a number of representatives of the Oil Refinery Pancevo trade union to discuss the results of the union’s efforts to achieve a more efficient protection of workers’ rights, protection against harassment, exercise the right to safe working conditions and just compensation for work done.

Gojkovic Opens Conference of Women Entrepreneurs
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic opened the International Conference of Women Entrepreneurs in Novi Sad. On the occasion she stressed that the development of women’s entrepreneurship both in Serbia and the region is the best path to economic empowerment of women and the best way to topple all the prejudice against women and female stereotypes still very much present in our societies.
