On 16 and 17 September, Podgorica hosted the conference on “Engagement and Strengthening of Parliament Through Openness and Transparency”, part of the “Open Government Partnership” programme supported by 64 states, Republic of Serbia among them.

The National Assembly House hosted a workshop on the cooperation between the National Assembly and independent state bodies that mainly dealt with the key findings of the Report on the assessment, comparative study and study visit, with a special assessment of said cooperation in the part relating to human and minority rights.

At the sitting held on 15 September, the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality set up a number of working groups, viz.: Working Group for Human Rights and Freedoms and Rights of the Child, to be headed by Committee member Zlata Djeric; Working Group for the Protection of Freedom of Religion and Position of Churches and Religious Communities to be headed by Ljiljana Malusic; Working Group for National Minority Rights, to be headed by Olena Papuga; Working Group for Gender Equality, to be headed by Stefana Miladinovic and the Working Group for Initiatives, Petitions and Proposals, to be headed by Committee Chairman Meho Omerovic.
